Pre-Conference Field Trip - FULL

​CRREL Permafrost Tunnel, Army Corps of Engineers
Friday, April 17, 2026, 4-5:30 pm

Location: 2126-2166 Steese Highway, Fairbanks (Meet at Permafrost Tunnel)

SIGN UP ON REGISTRATION FORM
Come tour the Permafrost Tunnel - view permafrost - ice wedges - ice lenses - other permafrost features - bones from the Pleistocene Epoch: bison, mammoth, horses. The tunnel is located 16 miles north of Fairbanks.
Limit to 14 Participants. Meet up at conference.

Note to Foreign Nationals:  Foreign nationals need to submit additional forms which could take 30 days. We urge foreign nationals to register for the conference quickly and sign up for the field trip quickly if they would like to attend.
